Registration Information
Registration is now closed for the 2024/2025 school year
*PLEASE NOTE - YOU MAY NOT ENROLL WITH MORE THAN ONE PROGRAM AT A TIME,INCLUDING ONLINE PROGRAMS.*
FOR INSTANCE, YOU MAY NOT ENROLL WITH LEAP AND CEC AT THE SAME TIME, OR LEAP AND ANY PUBLICLY FUNDED ONLINE HOMESCHOOL CURRICULUM PROGRAM(I.E ASTRAVO, CONNECTIONS ACADEMY, ETC.)
PLEASE NOTE:
ALL families must register their students as NEW to the district EACH YEAR in order for us to enroll them in the LEAP program.
Please send Miki Shockley the following information to be added to our spreadsheet for enrollment:
1. Student's full legal name
2. Grade level for the fall
3. Date of Birth
4. Choice of Attendance Day
Wednesday or Thursday
Here are the steps you will take to successfully register your child/children with our program
Step 1
Have the students information added to the LEAP spreadsheet by emailing us at tsdleapschool@gmail.com (Please see note above)
Why is this important? When you register your child online, he/she will automatically be placed in the school closest to your home. When the district sees them on the spread sheet, THEY will place them in LEAP.
This is not something you or LEAP can do.
Step 2
Register with Thompson School District. (Link is below) ALL LEAP students need to register as NEW each year.
Why is this important? Students may not attend LEAP without being registered with Thompson School District.)
Step 3
Complete the Intent to Homeschool form online. (Link is below) This form MUST be turned in to TSD to participate in LEAP. IF YOU ARE PART OF AN UMBRELLA SCHOOL: Please contact homeschool@tsd.org regarding verification of registration with an umbrella school in lieu of completing the Intent to Homeschool form.
Why is this important? This form MUST be turned in to TSD to participate in LEAP.
Step 4
Complete the homeschool affidavit below.
Why is this important? TSD must have this form for you to participate in LEAP.
Step 5
Send class request forms to tsdleapschool@gmail.com
Why is this important? So we know what classes your child would like! Classes tend to fill quickly so you'll want to send in class request as soon as possible.
WE MUST HAVE CLASS REQUEST FORMS, EVEN FOR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS. Why is this important? Since everyone placed on the spreadsheet may not follow through with attending LEAP, Class Request Forms are another way of verifying your student will be attending LEAP.
After we receive word from the district that registrations have been processed, students will be placed in classes.
2nd & 3rd graders are placed in class tracks. If you have a preference regarding ONE classmate, please indicate on Class Request Form.
